The 4th of July gives communities in and around Fort Worth a built-in opportunity to celebrate with their residents, and plenty of them will be doing just that in 2024. Some events are big, some are small, but all will celebrate the birth of the United States in fun and unique ways.
Below are the biggest and best Fourth of July celebrations taking place this year all around Fort Worth. For events taking place around Dallas, see this list.
Friday, June 28
Mansfield Rocks Mansfield Rocks will feature free concerts on multiple days, culminating with a fireworks show on July 3. Concerts include Taylor Nation Tribute Show on June 28 and Bluffett: Tribute to Jimmy Buffett on June 29. Both concerts take place at The Lot Downtown and require tickets. The fireworks on July 3 will be launched from Heritage & National Pkwy. behind Hawaiian Falls and the Mansfield Sports Park and can be viewed from around the surrounding area. Hawaiian Falls will still be holding their Fireworks Frenzy After Hours Event, but admittance to the waterpark is not necessary to view the fireworks.
Saturday, June 29
4th of July Weekend in Denton The festivities will get started early in Denton with the Liberty Run 5k and 1-mile walk, followed by the Yankee Doodle Parade near the Denton Civic Center. This will be followed by the July Jubilee at Quakertown Park & Denton Civic Center on July 3, featuring live music, food, inflatables, games, rock climbing, face painting, photo opportunities, a hot dog eating contest, and drone shows sponsored by Denton Noon Kiwanis.
City of Arlington presents Light Up Arlington Arlington's big event, Light Up Arlington, will take place early this year, featuring live music on four stages around Downtown Arlington, vendors, food trucks, kids activities, and a fireworks display shot from the roof of City Tower, which is located east of City Hall. The show will be set to music on 95.9 The Ranch FM.
Wednesday, July 3
Northeast Tarrant Chamber presents Family 4th Fireworks Show The annual Family 4th Fireworks Show features bounce houses, food trucks, and a concert by the Texas All-Star Jazz Orchestra. A display of fireworks and drones will take place at 9:30 pm. The fireworks can be viewed from the parking lots of the Wiley G. Thomas Coliseum in Haltom City and BISD Plaza in North Richland Hills.
Southlake Stars & Stripes Southlake Stars & Stripes features two stages of entertainment, family activities, concessions, and a fireworks show at the end of the night. The event takes place at Southlake Town Square.
Hurst Stars & Stripes The annual City of Hurst Stars & Stripes will feature live music by Grady Spencer & the Work and Professor D, food trucks, a kids area, and a fireworks show. Free shuttles are available from designated parking at North East Mall. The water booth and some vendors will be cash only.
City of Keller presents Keller Lights Keller Lights is a celebration that combines live music, food trucks, a hot dog eating contest, and a grand finale of fireworks. The event takes place at Keller City Hall.
Thursday, July 4
Granbury's Hometown 4th of July Festival Granbury's Hometown 4th of July Festival features a morning parade beginning at Granbury High School and ending around the downtown square. During the day, there will be artisan vendors around the courthouse in the historic downtown (the vendors will also be on hand July 5-7). Around 9:45 pm, fireworks will be shot off over the lake, directly behind the Pearl Street Bridge, which can be seen all over Granbury.
Arlington Independence Day Parade While the city of Arlington will hold their evening event on June 29, they'll wait until the actual 4th of July for their Independence Day Parade, the oldest event in Arlington and one of the largest 4th of July parades in Texas. The parade, which features 120 entries, steps off at the intersection of West St. and Mitchell St., traveling around downtown Arlington.
City of Bedford presents 4th Fest Bedford 4thFest at Generations Park at Boys Ranch will feature live music by The Inspiration Band, a kids zone, food trucks, and a fireworks show that will begin around 9:30 pm. The city will continue to shoot the fireworks 200 feet higher so residents can view them from further away. Visitors can bring lawn chairs, blankets, coolers, and non-alcoholic beverages (no glass containers are permitted).
Fort Worth’s Fourth Fort Worth’s Fourth is an Independence Day celebration along the banks of the Trinity River featuring festival food, drinks, kids’ activities, swimming, live music by Trey & The Tritones and Coffey Anderson, and a fireworks show to end the night. The event takes place at Panther Island Pavilion.
City of Burleson presents Red, White & BTX The City of Burleson's Red, White & BTX features food trucks, a concert featuring Like Combs (Luke Combs Tribute), and a fireworks show. Earlier in the day is the Lions Club Parade at 9 am starting at the corner of SE Gregory and SW Johnson Avenue. The announcers and judges stand will be located at Warren Park and next to City Hall.
Grapevine presents July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza The City of Grapevine will celebrate America’s birthday with their annual July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza, featuring spectacular fireworks set to patriotic music. Viewing areas for this year's event are to be announced.
